The competitiveness of the European Graphic Industry
 |
On 20 August 2007, the European Commission published the final report
“Competitiveness of the European Graphic Industry - Prospects for
the EU printing sector to respond to its structural and technological
challenges”, produced by the research institute Ernst &
Young.
Overcapacity, increased price pressure and a lack of common vision
for the future are problems identified in the report. The opportunities
for the industry lie in differentiating their offer and creating
stronger relationships between printers and other actors in the sector,
in order to share best practices and develop new services.
