Intergraf invites to second European Expert Meeting on standardization in print
On behalf of its member organizations, Intergraf invites experts from around Europe to the second Expert Meeting of the Printing Standard Network that will focus on international standards in print production. The meeting will take place on 23 - 24 November 2009 in Milan, Italy.
International standards in print production (e.g. ISO 12647) are becoming increasingly important to printers and prepress service providers for process control, quality assurance and customer relations purposes. These standards are successfully being implemented in printing companies across Europe.
The agenda of the meeting includes presentations and debates on topics such as Paper Properties, new standard applications in offset, gravure and flexo, national reports on implementation of standards in Europe, communication strategies for promotion of standards etc. It is our hope that a fruitful discussion between experts across Europe will lead to more successful and efficient implementation of Printing Standards in the European printing industry!
In February 2007 European experts on standards for the printing industry met for the first time to discuss latest achievements and future co-operation at European level. The experts agreed on the necessity of standards in print and valued the exchange of information on today’s best practice for the implementation of these standards. Because of a current lack of communication between printers and their customers on application of standards, Intergraf set up a task force to support networking, basic information and tools to make sure developments in standards are continuously communicated and promoted to all stakeholders. The Printing Standard Network is the forum for sharing of best practices between experts committed to print standardization.

On the evening of 23rd November attendants are cordially invited for a networking cocktail at the hotel between 19:00 and 20:00 hrs.

Conference fee: Advance payment of € 80 is requested from all participants to cover the expenses of organising the conference.
