Event: Media Diversity in the Digital Age

{K2Splitter}

The 2015 Annual Conference of the Future Media Lab. will focus on media diversity and how it is impacted by changing media consumption

patterns, technological disruptions and business innovation. As technological advancements have enabled people to be increasingly interconnected, the way news is created, accessed and shared has radically changed. One of the key questions today is how professional journalistic content can be found by citizens in a non-discriminatory way. This conference aims to tackle this dilemma by addressing the following questions:

•    What is driving the way media content is consumed today and in the future?
•    How and to what extent do technological innovations and disruptions drive change?
•    Is business innovation shaping trends or is it rather being shaped by trends?

Protecting media diversity in the digital age is about ensuring a competitive digital economy in the era of digital gatekeepers.

This conference is about analyzing the current situation of the digital markets, exploring the potential role of regulation to ensure media diversity in the digital sphere, and exploring the impact of digital innovations in media.

The programme foresees interactive elements and triggers debates on:
